Probiotics Needed For Health Benefits

Probiotics means for life and are live bacteria that benefit the host intestinal microbial balance. Probiotics are commonly found in yogurt, soy, or dietary supplements and also delivered in a suppository form through fecal transplants from a healthy donor to an infected person. Probiotics benefit the host by changing the host's microbial population inhibiting germs, viruses, and bacteria which cause disease in a host. Taking antibiotics kills the good and bad bacteria and killing off the good bacteria increases the risks of digestive problems, such as urinary tract infections, yeast infections, and diarrhea and cause muscle pain or fatigue. Probiotics ease lactose intolerance, diarrhea and helps with gas. It is wise to consume foods high in probiotic bacteria when taking antibiotics.

Did you know that good bacteria is passed from the mother to the child through the birth canal? Children born through C-section do not pickup these health benefits causing them to more than likely have allergies, poor immune systems, and low levels of gut micro flora.

The causes for imbalance of a healthy digestive tract is our lifestyle such as poor eating habits, stress, and lack of adequate sleep; things that are common to us all. Allergies increase and cause suffering from auto immune disorders when our immune system or digestive tract isn't working properly. Rheumatoid arthritis, Crohns disease, ulcerative colitis, and vaginal infections are a few of these disorders you suffer from with an imbalanced digestive tract. It is beneficial to keep a healthy digestive tract to have a properly functioning immune system and restoring good bacteria to bad bacteria is never too late. When our digestive tract is healthy nutrients absorb better and delivered to the cells efficiently.

Human health and longevity comes from consuming lactic acid producing bacteria or lactobacillus. The digestive tract has several hundred different bacteria in the body than the body's cells meaning we are more bacterial than cellular. Probiotic bacteria make up 70% of our immune system.
